Yes - the xDrive AWD system handles the additional power superbly. In wet conditions particularly, the remapped xDrive M340i is strikingly capable - traction is never an issue regardless of power output.

Stage 1 is the software limit without hardware changes. Stage 2 with intercooler and exhaust work can push beyond 500bhp. For a road car, Stage 1 is the sensible stopping point - it delivers extraordinary performance without reliability compromises.
