Mobile ECU Remapping Across Devon

A mobile ECU remap follows exactly the same process we use in the workshop, just at your location. We arrive at your home, driveway or workplace, connect to your vehicle's OBD port, and read the existing ECU software. We then carry out a full pre-remap diagnostic health check, write the tailored map, and run a post-remap check and short verification before we leave. Your original file is always backed up so the vehicle can be returned to standard at any time.

The whole visit typically takes 1-2 hours depending on the vehicle. You do not need to take time off to sit in a workshop waiting room - we work around you.

We simply need safe, legal access to the vehicle on a reasonably flat surface with enough room to work around it - a driveway, yard or workplace car park is ideal. The engine should be able to reach normal running temperature. You do not need to provide mains power: our equipment runs from the vehicle's own battery, and we manage voltage stability throughout the flash.

We cover the whole county - South, East, Mid, West and North Devon - from Plymouth and Exeter to Barnstaple, Bideford and Okehampton. If you are near the county edge and not sure we reach you, just ask when you book.

The large majority of Stage 1 remaps are ideal for a mobile visit and we complete them on site every week. However, a minority of vehicles have ECUs that must be removed and bench-flashed, and some Stage 2 or more involved builds are better done at our Totnes workshop. When you tell us your vehicle we will confirm honestly whether it is a mobile or workshop job before you book - we would rather be upfront than promise something roadside that needs the bench.

One thing to be clear about: our mobile service is for ECU remapping only. DPF cleaning is a workshop-based, off-vehicle process and is not something we carry out at the roadside - see our DPF cleaning pages for how that service works.
