ECU Remapping Across the South Hams

Our workshop is in Totnes, right in the middle of the South Hams, so this is home ground - and we cover the whole district, from the market towns of Kingsbridge and Ivybridge to the estuary towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe and the villages in between. This is the regional overview; Totnes and Kingsbridge have their own pages, and we serve Dartmouth, Salcombe, Modbury, South Brent and the surrounding parishes the same way, either at the workshop or by mobile visit.

Every remap is a file matched to your exact vehicle, applied carefully with a diagnostic check before and after - the same standard wherever you are in the district.

The South Hams is steep, narrow and rural: valley climbs, single-track lanes and a lot of vehicles that tow - trailers, horseboxes, boats and farm plant. Factory maps are set for the vehicle unladen, so pulling a load up these hills can feel strained. The main benefit of a Stage 1 remap here is extra low-down torque, which makes loaded and towing driving noticeably steadier and less thirsty.

It's why so much of our South Hams work is diesel 4x4s, pickups and vans - Defenders, Discoverys, Rangers, Hiluxes and working vans - rather than outright performance cars. We match the file to the vehicle and how it's used.

Because we're based locally, we can usually reach South Hams customers quickly for a mobile ECU visit - to your home, yard or workplace in Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Modbury or the outlying villages - and being central means flexible scheduling. Or you can drop the car at the workshop in Totnes.

A couple of honest points: our mobile service is for ECU remapping only. DPF cleaning is a separate, workshop-based job carried out off the vehicle at our Totnes workshop - short trips between South Hams villages are a common cause of DPF blockages, and where a vehicle needs both we can handle the DPF at the workshop and the remap together. Diagnostics are always a paid health check, not a free scan.
