ECU Remapping Across North Devon

North Devon is large and remote, and we cover the whole of it as a mobile-first service from our Totnes base - Barnstaple and Bideford, the coast at Ilfracombe and Braunton, South Molton and Great Torrington, and the Exmoor-edge villages out to Lynton and Combe Martin. This is the regional overview; Barnstaple and Bideford have their own pages, while the smaller towns and rural areas are covered by the same mobile service.

Wherever you are, it's the same job: a remap file matched to your exact vehicle, applied carefully with a diagnostic check before and after.

Our workshop is around 50 miles south in Totnes, so for North Devon the round trip rarely makes sense. Instead our tuning unit comes to you, carrying the same OBD and bench-flashing equipment we use in the workshop - so a mobile remap on your driveway in Barnstaple or a farmyard near South Molton is done to exactly the same standard as a workshop visit.

We're upfront on the practicalities: most Stage 1 jobs suit a mobile visit, a small number of ECUs need bench work we'll flag in advance, and every remap starts with a paid diagnostic health check rather than a free one. DPF cleaning is a separate workshop-based job at Totnes, not a roadside service.

This is rural, coastal, working country, and it shows in what we remap: farm and trade pickups and 4x4s - Ranger, Hilux, Navara, Defender, Discovery - alongside diesel vans and high-mileage commuter cars covering the long A361 and A39 runs. The priorities here are towing torque for loads and hills, and economy for the distance.

A diesel remap adds usable low-down torque and can ease fuel costs on those long cruises, and we match the file and its focus to how you actually use the vehicle rather than applying a generic map.
